"The Palace of Fine Arts"

This is one of my favorite places, well this time i have the description below from Wikipedia.

The Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco, California, is a monumental structure originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there. One of only a few surviving structures from the Exposition, it is the only one still situated on its original site. It was rebuilt in 1965, and renovation of the lagoon, walkways, and a seismic retrofit were completed in early 2009.

In addition to hosting art exhibitions, it remains a popular attraction for tourists and locals, and is a favorite location for weddings and wedding party photographs for couples throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and such an icon that a miniature replica of it was built in Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim.

"Living in South San Francisco"

I love San Francisco, New York is also nice but a big difference when talking about the perfect weather when you like a temperature that's more in the 60"s at daytime and 50's at night. If you're that type of person that likes to wear a thin sweater or light jacket mostly all year round then San Francisco is perfect.

It does not get that cold cold and slighty warm on a clear day, it is just perfect. Food is so good, remember California has a big chunk of land that has one of the freshly real fresh produce and good meat, seafood as well.

Well you have to be here to understand what i'm talking about, now if you love to take pictures, then that's an added advantage as well.

"World's Smallest Full Frame Camera"

Hi to all my viewers, sorry for the long comeback, I've been busy lately with some gadgets like the Fujifilm X100s and Sony RX1, all compact cameras.

The Fuji X100s is a wonder but the RX1 is in a different league because it has a big size full frame sensor like the big Pro Cameras of Nikon and Canon. The performance is amazing, i don't want to sound too technical but what i can say is that if you're not a designated fast action sports photographer and you don't shoot in the cave, the RX1 is the ticket against most low light photography handholding your camera, yes handholding it.

It's small enough to fit in your coat pocket and very nice superb buttons and dials, it feels like back in the film days but even got better. If you don't want to haul your big DSLRs and want amazing image quality then the Sony RX1 is the ticket. The 35mm is a perfect walk around lens, wide enough for landscapes but not wide enough to distort environmental portraits and plus the sweet option with a dial to macro mode shooting good for food and smaller stuff photography all in one.

Razor sharp pics with jpeg or RAW, excellent high ISO performance.

"The Rage of Nature at Burney"

Above the Mc Arthur Burney Falls lies a nice perspective, if you've been this place, this may be the first spot you set up for a shot.

I zoom in a little to frame the shot. The big stopper helped in softening the water. For some reason i did not favor this shot because something with the lighting overall did not pleased me but i did some contrast to add some punch with the overall output.

But considering looking at other photographer at this scene, none of their pics stunned me so i guess it's even. I was hoping for the skies, but did not cooperate according to my preference.

Camera Settings: Focal Length=40mm, Aperture=F11, Speed=123 secs., ISO=100, Perspective= Tripod on the rock.

"One Lovely Evening"

It's a Party boat in San Francisco, very lovely place full of tourist, i may look like one because of the camera gears i was bringing or i may look like a passionate photographer looking for those nice places.

The Belle is a San Francisco Bay landmark that evokes the city’s turn-of-the-century Barbary Coast energy. The 292-foot sternwheeler features Art Nouveau style on all three enclosed levels, plus a spacious sun deck and three full wrap-around decks. The crown jewel of San Francisco Bay, she holds up to 600 per level and is a favorite for cocktail parties, trade shows and celebrations.

I was metering for long exposure so the i need to be in a certain time frame to use the big stopper properly without keeping the camera shutter too long so using more F2.8 will yield more than 7 mins. which i don't like so using F11 or F8 will make the exposure too long so i sticked with F2.8.

Camera Settings: Focal Length=27mm, Aperture=F2.8, Speed=422 secs., ISO=100, Perspective=Standing 5.5 feet
